Machining

MACHINING INFORMATION

What is Machining?

Machining is a general term for processing various types of material where chips are removed from the original material. By applying machining, the material can be shaped into the desired form. Naturally, this process reduces the weight and mass of the material.

Machining of material can be done in various ways. Kühne Industrie is capable of realizing customer-specific products with different materials. We specialize in machining glass and stone-containing materials. Examples of machining possibilities at Kühne Industrie include: assembly of semi-finished products, production, and assembly of materials.

Kühne Industrie Machining Machinery Park

Kühne Industrie has an advanced machinery park for machining materials. This includes CNC machining centers and lathes.

In our CNC Machining Centers, the materials are placed in a lathe or milled. In a lathe, the material is placed in a clamp. A tool is controlled by Computer Numerical Control (CNC) to remove chips from the material. In this process, it is important to use the right tools, set the correct rotational speed, and ensure that the machine is properly controlled. When materials need to be milled, they are also placed in a clamp. The difference between milling and turning is that in milling, the material does not move. Materials can be milled to create slots, islands, holes, or chambers.

At Kühne Industrie, you can find a partner in machining. Thanks to our advanced CNC machining centers and lathes, we deliver only quality. Are you curious about how Kühne Industrie can become your partner and machine your materials? Contact us directly by calling or by filling out our contact form.
